Wanted: New Moderator

If you think you might be interested in taking over moderation for austin_hp here on LJ and over on our Facebook group, please comment here to let me know. I'd love to see the group go on, but I have too much on my plate to keep up for the time being.

I noticed that the Facebook group doesn't have an admin anymore. . . Do you need someone to take over to move it over to the new format? Or will facebook archive the group/ disband it? How does that work?

The Austin HP group disbanded some time ago, but if you would like to take over the Facebook, please do!

Apparently, people have been posting in the fb group during the summer, but because of the way that the group format is, you can't tell unless you visit the group. I wouldn't mind taking over the FB group, but someone (a former admin?) would have to make me an admin/co-admin to the group. I have lots of online HP buddies, but not any local ones. Time to remedy that!

Most of my HP friends are online as well. HP Austin used to meet once a month, until there were only two of us left. We continued going to our meet-up location for several months, and after a while it just got depressing, so we let the monthly meetings go.

I searched through FB help trying to figure out how to transfer the group to another admin since I am a former admin but there is no one listed now, and FB does not have an option for that. There are only a few members and there has been very little activity, so the group doesn't qualify to be automatically upgraded to the "new" group system, so I figured it would be a good idea to just create a new one!

Sadly, by the time I joined this group, I think it was already fading. I was hoping a new admin could switch it over, but since there isn't one, your plan works just as well!

Did you ever make it to a meet-up before DH was released in 2007?

Hi. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I think I joined the group around that time (maybe later), but each time there was a huge release, I was out of the country. I planned a big vacation to the UK for each one.
